ABOUT ZUYD UNIVERSITY
Zuyd is a regional institution of higher education, which aims at the development and transfer of high-quality and practically-oriented knowledge, for the development of professions and our region. The employees of Zuyd contribute to the personal development of people during their entire professional careers. We believe that every individual has unique talents and we want to assist in the full development of these talents.
In our method of working we connect education, research and the environment. We focus on themes that are relevant to our region, such as Technology in Care, New Materials/New Energy and European Artistic Skills, and strive for excellence in these fields.
We continue to improve our performance in close cooperation and interaction with our environment, our clients and stakeholders and other educational institutions and exchange expertise. This means that we believe in cooperation: in innovation beyond the borders of our disciplines and in international partnerships across geographical borders.

ORGANISATION AND POLICY
ZUYD INTERNATIONAL OFFICE
The Faculties provide the link between education, research and life-long learning. Starting from 1 September 2012, Zuyd University of Applied Sciences will have ten Faculties.
Responsibility and personal attention are core values at our university of applied sciences. For this reason Zuyd opts for professionals who cooperate in teams to support the development and execution of the primary tasks of the Faculties and the Support Services. Modern labour relations are based on autonomy, confidence and clear goal-oriented tasks descriptions, which are best realized in teams under the leadership of team leaders.

The primary processes at Zuyd are facilitated by five Support Services, each of which is led by a Director: Education and Research, Human Resources, Finance and Control, Marketing and Communication and Estates and Facilities. The management and report structures of the Support Services are similar to those of the Faculties.

GOVERNANCE
The division of tasks, authority and responsibility among the Executive Board, the Supervisory Board, the Deans of the Faculties and the Directors of the Support Services is determined by Managerial and Control Regulations, which are in accordance with the by-laws of the Hogeschool Zuyd Foundation, the WHW and the HBO-branch code of Governance.
